In 1998, Visconti applied for the Italian patent for its Double Reservoir Power Filler, a unique filling system that allows a greater ink capacity and safe usage during air flights. Utilizing this revolutionary Double Reservoir Power Filler, Visconti created the Opera Master Demonstrator to allow an appreciation of its fine components as well as an unobstructed view of the ink in its clear resin barrel. Every pen is polished twice: externally and internally, to give just the right finish to the acryloid. Featuring Visconti's large, 23 kt palladium nib.

The Next Limited New Orleans Ink is Here

Papier Plume will release five new inks in the coming months fo 2016, celebrating the rich colors and history of New Orleans, Louisiana.  We hope that each of these colors will allow you to take home memories of New Orleans and let you share a little of it with others through your writing.

Calle Bottlels

The second color in our line is Calle Real.  It's history starts with the Spanish take over of New Orleans.  From 1763 to about 1800 Spain had control of New Orleans.  Two large fires, in 1788 and 1794, destroyed over a 1000 buildings.  During the rebuilding, some of the most impressive structures in New Orleans were built: St. Louis Cathedral, The Cabildo and The Presbytere.  Today our store is just a few blocks from these buildings on Royal Street, at that time called Calle Real.  This blue ink is inspired by the blue in the street tiles and Spanish wall tiles throughout the French Quarter.

These inks are limited in quanitiy.  There will only be 30 one ounce bottles sold of this color on this run.

Streetcar Green

The first ink in our special New Orleans edition of inks is Streetcar Green.  Streetcar Green is inspired by the color from the St. Charles streetcar line.  It began in 1835 as a passenger railway between New Orleans and a suburb called Carrollton, which has since been absorbed into the city.  The St. Charles line was one of the first passenger railroads in the country, and it remains the oldest continuously operating street railway in the world.  It is the busiest route in the RTA systemas it is heavily used by local commuters and tourist.  On most RTA maps and publications it is denoted in green, which is also the color of the streetcars on this line.

These inks are limited in quanitiy.  There will only be 30 one ounce bottles sold of this color on this run.
