A pencil like no other: designed more than 400 years ago, the Gessner combines tradition with originality.
The Gessner was first used in the Middle Ages. Conrad Gessner, a universally educated Swiss scientist and inventor, first illustrated this wooden pencil in one of his many books. Carefully recreated by Cleo Skribent, it is now an ideal sketching instrument with pencil or coloured leads.
The Gessner is carved from high quality wood, and was awarded the title "Pen of the Year" 2002 by the international ISPA-Jury.
