Montegrappa - Ducale - Fountain Pen - Rose Gold & Brown Emperador
Montegrappa Ducale Fountain Pen in Rose Gold & Brown Emperador
Honoring the famous palace on Venice’s Piazza San Marco, the Ducale pen collection represents a perfect balance of power and poise. It first appeared in the 1930s to mark the high-end pens of the Elmo line. The name drew inspiration from the famous Doge’s Palace, one of the symbols of the city of Venice. Generous proportions convey authority and substance, both in the hand and on the page. Clean lines, refined finishing and reliable performance make Ducale Montegrappa’s best travelled pen, preferred by a broad base of ambitious users who refuse to simply be part of the scenery. Style is temporary. Class is permanent.
The classy Montegrappa Ducale is made from a gorgeous Brown Emperador resin with stunning 18-Karat Rose Gold trim. The rich caramels and deep brown colors positively glow against the rose gold appointments. The Ducale has a screw cap, which can be posted, and is engraved with “Montegrappa” around the top. The pen cap also features Montegrappa’s elegantly curved signature pen clip. This is a large pen that is perfectly balanced for writing comfort. It has a highly polished steel fine point nib engraved with a beautiful Montegrappa filigree pattern. The fountain pen utilizes a cartridge/converter fill system.

Montegrappa was founded under the slogan "Maker of gold nibs and fountain pens" in 1912. Its products are still manufactured in the original factory on the river Brenta, in Bassano del Grappa - near Vicenza, in the North-East of Italy. Montegrappa takes its name from another industry that lies within a stone’s throw of the Montegrappa factory - the Grappa industry. Grappa is a local alcoholic beverage that has never been more popular, finding new friends in bars and saloons from Mumbai to Manhattan to Macau. Montegrappa makes Regular Edition; Limited Edition; and Special Edition Pens. Pens come in three forms; rollerball; ballpoint or fountain. In addition to these forms, Montegrappa makes pens out of various precious materials; silver and gold are the most common used material. Montegrappa also made a series of Ferrari Pens; a series of Elvis Pens; a DC Comics series; and a golf edition.
