Aurora - Optima - Fountain Pen - Nebulosa - Chrome Trim - Fine
Aurora Optima Nebulosa Fountain Pen with Chrome Trim and Fine Nib
Following the success of the 88 Nebulosa fountain pen, Aurora releases a U.S. exclusive, the Optima Nebulosa in the same marbled purple. This ultra fine writing instrument is available in two trim options, rose gold or chrome, but only 88 pens will be made in each trim color. Please note that Aurora holds 3 pens from every edition to display in their museum, so only 85 are truly available to the public. Papier Plume has the Aurora Optima Nebulosa fountain pen numbered 82 of 88.
The Aurora Optima Nebulosa is made entirely in-house, including the nib and ebonite feed. The cap and barrel are made from purple Auroloide with a marbled finish, the same as used in the 88 Nebulosa, while the cap’s finial, grip section and piston knob are made from black resin. All the metal trim is chrome plated to match the solid 18-karat white gold nib. Each Optima Nebulosa fountain pen is engraved with its limited edition number out of 88 on the top of the cap, opposite the clip.
Like all Optimas, the Nebulosa features Aurora’s unique piston filler design with a built-in ink reserve. When the pen runs dry, extend the piston to access enough ink for several more pages of writing. The piston knob will remain extended acting as a reminder to refill the pen while still allowing the cap to be posted. Papier Plume’s remaining Aurora Optima Nebulosa is numbered 82 of 88.
