The e+m "Grip Nature" 5.5mm Clutch Pencil Black & Chrome is a superb sketching pencil handmade in Germany from wood and metal. It has elegant European styling with a Black-stained FSC-certified Beechwood grip section, a Matte Chrome upper barrel and Stainless Steel trim. The Stainless Steel push-button end cap advances the 5.5mm or 5.6mm lead, which is held in place by the clutch, a jawed pressure clamp. Press and hold the end cap button to open the clutch to reload your lead. This is a perfect pocket-sized clutch pencil for artists, architects or creative person who draws, sketches or highlights. The e+m Grip Nature clutch pencil comes packaged in a paper sleeve inside a slim box.
This e+m Grip Nature clutch pencil uses FSC-certified wood, which can be shown to come from forests that meet the internationally recognized principles and criteria of the Forest Stewardship Council. Environmentally appropriate forest management ensures that the harvest of timber and non-timber products maintains the forest's biodiversity, productivity and ecological processes.
Consistency, comfort, balance. The clutch pencil body size never changes as the lead is used and it maintains a fairly consistent weight and balance. Artists who spend long periods of time shading with regular pencils can get frustrated as the pencil shortens. A clutch pencil adds precision and reliability, so many artists prefer using them when drawing for hours at a time.
