The exquisite Faggionato Bamboo Pétrarque luxury fountain pen, handcrafted in France, is made from Ebonite with a wonderfully lacquered Také Nuri finish, giving this pen its lovely bamboo effect. The bamboo effect is obtained by combining several Urushi techniques: Sabi-Nuri, yellow lacquer, amber lacquer and Ishimé. Ebonite is a classic hard rubber (formerly known as vulcanite) that absorbs hand warmth and radiates it back to you so that the pen feels like an extension of your hand. The only material that feels more natural to hold is wood. The Bamboo Pétrarque has a streamlined design and a curved section with optimal finger positioning, making it very comfortable to hold during long writing sessions. The screw cap has an ornate Gilded Bronze pen clip made from a real twig of bamboo preserved with the technique of lost wax. The cap cannot be posted. The Bamboo Pétrarque is a cartridge/converter fountain pen that comes equipped with a smooth-writing Medium #6 14-Karat Gold nib that was tuned by Frédéric Faggionato to his specifications. The Faggionato Bamboo Pétrarque is a gorgeous fountain pen that comes packaged in a black Faggionato gift box with white foil stamped lettering on the outside, a maroon velveteen lining and a magnetic closure.
