The Faggionato Pétrarque King Size (PKS) Celluloid Candy is the first PKS fountain pen available in a piston style. This luxury fountain pen is handcrafted from French cellulose acetate by master craftspeople who have introduced more complex technology when crafting celluloid pens. It has a sweet finish that reminds you of candy. The pen section has a slightly concave hourglass shape, with no step-down from the body, making this a very comfortable pen to use during long writing sessions. The screw cap has a gold-plated stainless steel pen clip and can be posted. The PKS Celluloid Candy features an ebonite feed and an impressive #8 18-Karat Gold nib, which is larger than the normal #6 that PKS pens are usually equipped with. It uses an International ink filling cartridge or converter. This PKS celluloid pen is a Faggionato exclusive and each pen is unique. It comes packaged in an elegant Faggionato gift box.

What is Cellulose Acetate?

Cellulose acetate is a resin made when plant fibers are processed, dyed, then heated and bonded together with solvents to produce colorful blanks. The blanks are stored in a specialized chamber for several weeks for drying and then the solvents are removed using evaporation. The blanks are then cut, turned and polished into pens. Faggionato’s whole process is carried out in France.
