What used to be a piece of charcoal, is today, in the hands of many creative people, the Lamy Scribble. Originally designed for architects, designers and art directors who need to liberally sketch and illustrate their ideas on blank canvas, it’s now become a highly useful mechanical pencil for creative writers who also need the freedom to scribble away.
The classy Lamy Scribble is a mechanical pencil featuring a short, bulbous body made of Matte Black plastic with a contrasting high-quality Palladium trim. The pencil has flat surfaces cut into the shaft, making it a highly ergonomic tool that can be held quite loosely in the middle. The flat edges serve a double purpose, keeping your pencil from rolling away when you set it down. There is a removable aluminum pocket clip that slides easily into a pencil case. The Lamy Scribble mechanical pencil has a push button cap with clutch mechanism to release the lead. The first push deploys a tiny lead-protecting sleeve and a second push extends the fine 0.7 mm lead. Underneath the cap is a small Lamy Z 19 eraser with a cleaning needle to help clear any lead jams. The lead refill is located underneath the cap and can comfortably hold 5 leads. You could squeeze in 6 leads if you shake the pencil a bit to settle them. The Lamy Scribble comes with a lifetime Lamy warranty.
