Since its inception, Atelier DE LAFORÊT has designed and produced each object in its collections. Between a leather goods of tradition and modernity, their workshop crosses the years with timeless lines, constantly developing new ranges of office objects which are directly resulting from the work of leatherworker.

This journey began in 1976, when Christian and Dominique DEBAT decided to pool their talents and create Atelier DE LAFORÊT, a small workshop nestled in a village in the Northern Vosges, in the heart of the Regional Natural Park. Its name is naturally inspired by the real sea of forests that surrounds the Alsatian place.

In 1998, on the strength of twenty years of leather goods techniques, they launched a line of office objects which developed rapidly, extended to the world of writing and more broadly to the home. The DE LAFORÊT brand was created!
