TACCIA's expert Japanese craftsmen begin each TACCIA Kaku-Tate LE with raw ebonite barrels that have been covered with multiple layers of urushi lacquer. Each barrel is precision sanded after numerous coats of color are applied to bring up both the unique 12-sided shape and the duo-tone contrast from the urushi lacquer underneath. After that, each barrel is painstakingly polished and coated with urushi to protect and seal the work and bring out its magnificent finish. Thin Stripe and Wide Stripe are the two options available.
