You can quickly fill your fountain pen to capacity anytime, anywhere!

The Visconti patented traveling inkwell design revolutionizes the traditional way to fill fountain pens with its built-in filling system that lets you easily fill your fountain pen without staining the section while you’re on the go, at home or in the office. The ink pot operates waste-free, letting you utilize 100% of the ink inside the ink pot.

The Visconti ‘97 Traveling Ink Pot is constructed from sturdy Bakelite with a Black finish. It has  a 5-ml capacity with a clear ink reservoir window to gauge your remaining ink level. Depending on your fountain pen model and the size of its converter or ink barrel, you’ll get between 2-5 fountain pen refills with the Visconti traveling ink pot. The universal rubberized cap allows a snug fit and has been tested on most fountain pens that are currently available. We advise that you always carry out a test fill using water on any new fountain pen model. The Visconti traveling inkwell comes with an eyedropper and is shipped in a clear plastic sleeve inside a box with instructions.

PLEASE NOTE: Antique or older fountain pens that use a rubber sac, a lever or a push button for filling introduce air bubbles into the pot and SHOULD NOT BE FILLED using this ink pot.

Traveling Ink Pot Filling Tips

1. Please Read the Included Visconti Traveling Ink Pot Instructions. It’s advisable to practice with water first until you get a feel for using it.

2. Remove the friction-fitted ink pot cap by pulling it straight out.

3. Use the supplied eyedropper (or an ink syringe) to fill the ink pot with your favorite ink. Fill no further than the Max Ink Level line. When starting out, we advise you only fill the ink pot two-thirds (2/3rds) of the way full to avoid excess pressure build up in the chamber.

4. Push the traveling ink pot cap back into place.

5. Expel any air trapped inside your fountain pen’s converter or ink barrel before using the ink pot.

6. Insert your fountain pen nib into the ink pot until it fits snuggly. Don’t jam it in.

7. Once you have a snug fit, invert your fountain pen and activate the plunger- or piston-filler mechanism to draw the ink into the converter or ink barrel.
