About Bortoletti

Bortoletti Fonderia Artistica was founded in a small laboratory on the edge of a Venice lagoon in 1980 by four brothers and their father's passion for sculpture and bronze. An encounter between Bortoletti and Venetian artist Elio Martella led to a fusion of art and intentions, triggering intense research to give practicality, beauty, color and elegance to calligraphy’s instrument of preference: the dip pen. In addition to Italian wooden dip pens with antique nibs, Bortoletti handcrafts original bronze pieces like magnifying glasses and letter openers that have a modern throwback to antiquity.
