This Premium Bukvawood Bog Oak 4850 is a standard sized Oblique Nib Holder handcrafted from Oak wood sourced from a tree pulled from a bog on the Dnieper River in Belarus, Russia. This Bog Oak wood has been radiocarbon dated to 4,850 years ago. A certificate of authenticity is included. This is a beautiful oblique nib pen that has a unique pattern with a relief that is very pleasant to touch. The terrain has been hand brushed to underline the figure of the tree that it’s made from. The Bog Oak has been coated with teak oil which brings out lovely colors in the wood from a deep Black to a dark Bronze. The characteristic ergonomic shape of the oblique nib holder forces your hand into the correct position to practice calligraphy. This oblique nib pen is super light in your hand - you can practice calligraphy for hours without feeling like you’ve been practicing calligraphy for hours! About Oblique Nib Holders

The oblique calligraphy pen may look strange, but don’t be frightened! This pen could make your calligraphy practice easier and more comfortable. When writing calligraphy, your nib must be parallel to the writing slant that you wish to achieve and you need to exert even pressure on both tines of the nib. Right-handed writers sometimes have difficulty achieving this with a straight pen which is why the oblique nib holder calligraphy pen was invented.
