About the Authors

Mary Noble spreads her enthusiasm for calligraphy by teaching, writing, and exhibiting her work. She is a Fellow of the U.K.-based Society of Scribes and Illuminators, and the Calligraphy & Lettering Arts Society, of which she is a former chairperson. She is a co-author of The Encyclopedia of Calligraphy and Illuminated Letters and The Beginner’s Guide to Calligraphy.

Janet Mehigan studied with the Society of Scribes and Illuminators and is an Honored Fellow. A freelance calligrapher, she also teaches calligraphy and painting in Adult Education courses. She is a co-author of The Encyclopedia of Calligraphy.
