Cartiera Magnani, in collaboration with Rossi 1931, produces the A.D. 1404 line of fine note cards. The Cartiera Magnani name has been synonymous with the production of fine Italian paper since 1404. The company achieved worldwide success and recognition in the 18th century when it began exporting its watermarked paper worldwide. Between 1770 and 1800 the Magnani name became a hallmark of quality and luxury. The emperor Napoleon chose Magnani wedding invitations in 1810 for his marriage to Maria Luisa of Austria. The original mold is still held at the mill.
