The Wahl-Eversharp Decoband Oversized fountain pen represents both the past and the future by recapturing the classic pen design first introduced in 1929 and making it bigger and better, utilizing the finest materials now available. The Decoband Rosewood Gold Seal Oversized fountain pen features a body and cap made from a beautiful Rosewood ebonite. Ebonite is a classic hard rubber (formerly known as vulcanite) that absorbs hand warmth and radiates it back in such a way that when you hold an ebonite pen, it feels like an extension of your hand. The only material that probably feels more natural to hold is wood. It has heavy 14-Karat Gold-plated trim which stands out beautifully against the Rosewood ebonite and features a 14-Karat Gold Superflex “All-in-One” nib that varies from a Fine to Extra Broad point depending on the pressure you apply. The Superflex nib is remarkably fluid and writes well whether flexed or not.

The fountain pen has solid Brass internal mechanical parts and a one-touch “Chilton Style” Pneumatic filling system with a 2.1ml capacity. The pneumatic mechanism is nothing short of amazing! When you unscrew the black knob and pull, the filling mechanism (decorated with a Greek Key design) slides out smoothly. To fill the fountain pen, insert the nib fully into your ink bottle. Place your thumb over the hole in the knob and push. Count to 10, then remove the pen from the ink. Wipe off your nib and then push the knob the remainder of the way in and screw it closed. The threaded cap screws on securely and can be posted. Unposted, this oversized Decoband pen is a very comfortable writer. The Decoband Rosewood Gold Seal Oversized fountain pen comes packaged in a Black Piano Lacquer box embossed with WAHL-EVERSHARP in Gold foil both outside and inside the box. There is one bottle of WAHL-EVERSHARP ink, a Piston Filler Knob Gripper and a protective “NEVAFADE" anti-oxidant storage sleeve for your pen’s continued protection.

About Wahl-Eversharp

WAHL-EVERSHARP fountain pens first appeared on some of the finest “golden era” fountain pens in 1929. The Deco Band, the Doric and the Skyline fountain pens of the 1920’s, 1930’s and 1940’s were among the most successful vintage fountain pens and mechanical pencils ever made. Wahl-Eversharp employed notable industrial designers Lowey and Dreyfus in the 1940’s. Mr. Dreyfus is responsible for the design of the world famous SKYLINE pens, the design of which is considered to be among the timeless icons of the 20th Century. There’s now a new retro Skyline fountain pen and a new Wahl-Eversharp Decoband pen line constructed of modern materials and incorporating a reliable, modern filling and ink handling system. The Wahl-Eversharp Company constructs its pens with the finest in materials, workmanship and design bringing forth top quality pens that sell for prices within the reach of most pen fanciers.
